看《搜》（the search）这本书，翻到181页，发现一段在Google上市之后CEO埃里克·施米特的话，说得很好，简直可以用到许多地方：
我确实知道有一些人会因为我们的决定而受到负面的影响，但是我们并没有任何不敬的意思。我们老老实实做事，我们只是选择了自己的道路。如果你不想加入，没有关系，请将你的钱投到别的地方。有许多的方式来管理这个世界、管理你的公司或是运作你的IPO。现代文明让我非常困扰的一点是，人们习惯于认定不管做什么事，都只有一种方式是最好的。实话实说，我们管理Google的方式非常适合它。如果你不喜欢这样的方式，不要参与。你所做的一切都是出于自愿的，我们没有强迫你来，不是吗？
中间加粗那段真是现在好多事情的症结啊。虽然这段话是针对Google IPO期间遇到的一些投资人的质疑而说的，但确实对许多事情都适用：操作电脑不止有Windows一种方式，软件不止有卖钱一条活路，提升自己网站排名没必要在人家Blog上搞些垃圾留言等等，等等。
